Welcome to Troop 78
Troop 78 was chartered on May 1, 1982 under the sponsorship of
St. Anthony’s Catholic Church.
The troop has challenging and rewarding experiences that provide boys with many opportunities for adventure and advancement, such as backpacking, hiking, boating, skiing and camping every month as well as extreme winter camping for our older scouts.
We enjoy high-adventure trips at National Jamborees, World Jamborees, Philmont and Sea Base. And in the summer we are attend Camp in the Lake George area.
Throughout the troop's history, 95 scouts have earned scouting’s highest award, the rank of Eagle, which only 2% of scouts earn world wide.
Over the years, Troop 78 has been one of the most active Troops in Rockland County. We are proud of our accomplishments and look forward to even greater ones in the future.
